VVM's New Nest

Just checking in... sorry for the silence on my end. We have moved back to Nebraska, but I am currently living in a state of limbo as our house is not yet ready to be lived in -- mostly because we moved anything and everything from the U-Haul into the house in a matter of 45 minutes and just left it where it lay. Plus dear husband is still back in Montana for about three more weeks, so some of the stuff that just can't be YouTubed will have to wait until he gets here and I'll just have to be patient (WHAT?! NO!).

I'd like to do these plates curving around the fireplace below.

This house means that I am going to be endeavoring into a whole new world of vintage: home decor. I've always had a piece of furniture here and there, but now that I have this gigantic house to just throw myself into, I can't wait! You can expect a lot more updates once we are in there, but for now, here are a few pictures of what we have to work with. I might have an uphill battle on some of this because over the years, I've learned that my husband and I have drastically different taste from one another. Aside from the wood floors, big windows and fun old doors, it has four bedrooms... which means I'll finally have a room I can safely (from small child) unleash all my thread clippings, glitter and wonderful vintage concoctions...

This now has drywall, but it's a huge room! We'll have to work on that fireplace...

I am SO doing this in said master bedroom.

Yes... that is a purple tub. It came complete with a purple sink and toilet... not sorry to say that it's not staying. Still looking for fun ways to work with a small bathroom.
